OUR MISSION

The Center for AI and Digital Humanism (Digihumanism) aims to foster a digital ecosystem that works for all through respect for fundamental rights, democracy and the rule of law.

Now that Europe is switching gears from AI policymaking to AI policy implementation, we need to ensure the humanistic application and enforcement of the AI-related legislative package. Only through a transversal approach can we achieve this goal.

Digihumanism is a think & do tank. It is a humanistic hub where like-minded partners with diverse backgrounds and expertise, such as civil society organisations and researchers, can exchange ideas, knowledge and experience and develop research- and fact-based policy positions. Digihumanism aims to build a bridge between the international, European and national ecosystems. Only together can we have a positive impact in addressing the challenges AI poses to human rights, democracy and the rule of law.

Digihumanism performs civic, research, educational, advisory and advocacy activities. Our mission is to assess international, European and national AI policies, legislation and practices, bring together and engage with AI policy leaders and promote humanistic values in AI through civic awareness campaigns, educational activities, public events and the publication of research & policy papers.

AI is transforming the world we live in and how we interact with each other. We need to ensure that citizens remain at the center of the AI revolution and the accompanying policy and legal processes. The opportunities of AI are only as good as our efforts to harness it for the good of all as well as our capacity to prevent, monitor and remedy risks and harms to our individual and collective rights.
